Global Network of People Living with HIV

The project targeted primarily people living with HIV with Advanced HIV Disease or AIDS. ZNNP+ sought to identify and amplify the voices of PLHIV with AHD and ensure that they have access to critical AHD services at the same time seeking to eliminate AHD among PLHIV in Zimbabwe by ensuring that all PLHIV have access to services that prevent their progression to AHD or AIDS. The project also targeted all PLHIV at risk of progressing to AHD including adolescents, children and key populations as it sought to ensure that they are aware of AHD and it’s impact in accelerating mortality among PLHIV.

General communities were also targeted to ensure that the change sought under the project will be sustained. The community played a vital role in supporting PLHIV in accessing services. Key policy makers and stakeholders who play an important role in creating and sustaining the desired change were engaged including Ministry of Health and Child Care, Ministry of Finance, the National AIDS Council, PEPFAR and the Global Fund, Community Leaders and Influencers under the project.

Strategic Objectives
Increased agency among PLHIV on Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) in Zimbabwe by July 2025.
Improved policy implementation and compliance from relevant stakeholders on AHD policies and guidelines by July 2025.
